UK-Based Treasurer Wanted
The European Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea is a UK-based organisation. We are seeking to add a London-based Treasurer to our board of trustees. Trustees are appointed on a 3-year term. The board of trustees meets, on average, every 8 weeks. Despite existing for only 3 years, we're an established charity. We're looking for someone who can help set the financial platform for further growth.
Main duties
- Liaising with the Director to ensure good financial management.
- Reporting to the board on the organisation's financial health.
- Liaising with the charity’s auditors or independent examiner, when appropriate.
- Monitoring and advising on the financial viability of the charity.
- Working with the Director to create sound financial controls and procedures for the control of charity assets.
- Working with the Director to ensuring that the charity’s annual accounts are compliant with legal and funding requirements.
- Ensuring expenditure is in line with the charity’s objectives.
- Working with the Director to develop fundraising strategies.
Person specification
We are ideally looking for someone with 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Refugee Support Volunteers
