Kenneth Bae Sentenced to 15 years

Kenneth Bae, an American citizen, has been sentenced to 15 years hard labor for anti-state crimes. Mr. Bae was detained in November last year.

There has been lots of speculation about his crimes, but there has been no confirmation from North Korea about what his crimes were.

USCIRF Report Condemns North Korea

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom has again found North Korea to be a country of concern in their latest annual report on religious freedom.

The report finds that the regime tightly controls religious belief and activities. It also spells out exactly what awaits those caught participating in clandestine religious ceremonies, etc.
